

Winterlake Lodge offers both out-camp and lodge-based activities for our guests. Each day, our manager creates a daily activities sheet that can be followed as a guideline or personalized with your guide.
Lodge-based activities
- Hiking along the historic Iditarod Sled Dog Trail.
- Hiking up to the ridge behind our lodge to view the expansive valley below and Mt. McKinley beyond.
- Extended hike to Red Lake.
- Exploring surrounding trails and wildflowers.
- Kayaking or canoing.
- Watching our wild birds.
- Tours of the garden.
- Swimming in the lake.
- Soaking in the hot tub.
- Yoga and stretch classes.
- Therapeutic massage.
- Cooking class with Kirsten Dixon or one of our lodge chefs.
- Joining Carl in the library for a presentation on Alaska topics.
- Wine and cheese tasting at 6:00 p.m.
Out-camp adventures
Adventures include exploring our vast and intriguing neighborhood with our Robinson R-44 helicopter. We can go glacier trekking, wildlife viewing, white-river rafting, sportfishing for salmon and rainbow trout, and exploring for gold within minutes from the lodge.
