Summer: Fishing, Rafting, & Heli-hiking
Winterlake Lodge offers seclusion and spectacular scenery. Views of the Trimble Glacier and Hayes Glacier, along with a view of the entrance to Rainy Pass, are visible from the lake. Behind the lodge, Wolverine Ridge offers intriguing hiking and wildlife viewing. Mountain bikes are available for exploring the area. Many of our guests enjoy the thrill of a helicopter excursion along the National Historic Iditarod Trail.
Redoubt Bay Lodge offers wildlife viewing in a special unique place with special unique bears. Explore the Lake Clark National Park region and learn about its diverse habitat and terrain. We offer lake fishing for Silver salmon and Red salmon at Redoubt Bay Lodge and can arrange fly-outs for other species in neighboring waters.
Winter: Dog Sledding & Skiing
We invite your to visit our Winterlake Lodge in the wintertime! Open from mid-November to mid-April, the lodge is located at mile 198 along the historic Iditarod Trail. We offer sled dog tours and instructions on driving your own team, cross country ski excursions, snowshoe expeditions and exploratory trips through Rainy Pass. Comfortable log cabins and a cozy main lodge offer the perfect setting for a romantic weekend.
