Main Lodge

redoubt_07.jpgredoubt_01.jpgThe small main lodge is a hand-hewn historic log cabin. You will notice the weather reporting equipment in the lodge. Our lodge managers are weather observers for the National Weather Service and report when pilots can fly through the sometimes-treacherous Lake Clark Pass.

The small lodge offers dining facilities and the kitchen where all lodge meals are prepared. There is a small reference library as well as games, stationery, and postcards for writing home. In the planning stage is a new extension of the lodge to the south from the current kitchen and dining area.

Breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m., house lunch for overnight and day guests is at 1:00 p.m., and dinner is at 7:00 p.m. Coffee and snacks are always available throughout the day at the coffee bar.
